WHY GUINEA-BISSAU?

We chose Guinea-Bissau because we believe that education is the key to transformation, and our school will serve as a BEACON OF HOPE, illuminating the path to knowledge, opportunity, and a dignified future for the children and their families.
  • Guinea-Bissau is one of the poorest and most fragile countries in the world, with 49% of the population under 18 years old in an EXTREMELY PRECARIOUS educational system.
  • 44% of children between 6 and 11 years old are out of school due to extreme poverty, which makes access impossible for many families, and the lack of infrastructure that prevents existing schools from providing education and support to students.
  • Approximately 25% of the population has no access to clean water.
  • 65% of the population lives without electricity.
  • 92.4% of the rural population lacks access to basic sanitation, with 58% of the country's population residing in rural areas.
